I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Hi all, At the end of this season we selected our rep teams in readiness for the next years competitions and to ensure that all girls had time to organise and commit to representative teams. We have played in a social league for a few weeks and will break for the Christmas period in two weeks time returning in mid February. I am keen to keep the girls active, and was wondering if anyone has documented an off season training plan as such. I would like to get the girls to concentrate on footwork , ( use of skipping rope) and fitness, as well as basic ball skills, but am not sure what expectations i should have with them ? They are all 14 yrs old. Thanks in advance Gary
where do i find the free agility and fitness library, i have just joined and was promised it is for free? where do i view it? also in your one answer on fitness u say go to "drills" and then "fitness drills" but there is no such option under "drills"?
I would like to give my girls some extra training to do at home to help build up their core strength, arm strength, speed and balance on the court. Any suggestions as to what i can give them. They are 13 and are all keen for it. I just need something that they can do that lasts no longer than 30min and that they can do about 3 times a week. That way if training is cancelled due to rain they can still do a netball based workout at home.
Goals or standards set for each age group from u/9 to senior level. As in what is required from an u/13 player in order for her abilities and skill as well as her fitness to be good at this age level. Agility? Sprinting? etc.
I am just wondering if anyone has a good fitness lesson for U.13's. I've got a new team with some super fit girls and some very unfit girls. Their skills are as widely mixed as their fitness abilities and I'm struggling knowing what I can do to accommodate all girls. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I am wanting to assess the fitness of the players in my new team, to find a candidate for Centre. I want it to be a game so they don't know What I'm doing. Any suggestions?
My girls are doing exceptionally well in their grade and i am very proud, however i am wondering if i should work on fitness with them or not? Help?
My club with various ages and abilities is currently on break right now but will start our pre-season practice in mid August with the season starting in November.Basing off of the last season we know that fitness was an issue i need some help in how to prepare my A & B grade squads better for the up coming season!

Hi, this is a question for both me as a player and to pass on to players in social netball teams that I organise. I'm looking for any advice or tips to pass on to attacking players who are 'blocked out' by defenders, for instance when GS comes out to support and then can't get back into the circle. I often feel like I'm ballroom dancing with defenders rather than getting away from them! Any short drills that I could do with teams (we occassionally meet up and do a bit of pre-match training) would also be great. And if anyone has anything that individual players can do in their own time that would awesome! I'm a big fan of Rae Druce's Netball Fitness ebook, the advice for skipping & plyometrics is really transforming my flat footwork and jumping ability so anything I can do and encourage other players to do would be great. Thank you!

No more 50/50 toss-ups. When simultaneous infringements occur, possession now goes to the team that last had the ball. Here's what it means for your coaching.
Train your defenders to win clean turnovers, not just disrupt. The difference between good defenders and great ones is taking the ball, not just touching it.
