My club with various ages and abilities is currently on break right now but will start our pre-season practice in mid August with the season starting in November.Basing off of the last season we know that fitness was an issue i need some help in how to prepare my A & B grade squads better for the up coming season!
the club i am involved in, train over the off season for anyone who is keen. our games start in march, and trailing and team club training in feb. only the keen turn up to the xmas school holiday training, but funny they are also many of our top players and those that get into rep teams.
so maybe run fitness programs during the off season, that increases their anaerobic and aerobic fitness levels, as depending on position, they will need fitness in one of these areas. also work on core strength, and jumping ability, and increasing their footwork response times (ie how fast are they off the mark and change direction).
hope that helps

Split circle defence is the system the top three NSL teams have built their identity around in 2026. The Goal Keeper and Goal Defence divide the circle into zones, switch in synchrony, and make every passing option look risky. Here is how to coach it.
Most netball shooters know how to shoot. The difference at the top is who can shoot when it counts. A structured 10-minute pre-game mental routine is the most under-used performance tool in club netball - and it is the simplest to teach.
The best Goal Defences in the 2026 NSL season are intercepting more than ever. The reason is not raw athleticism. It is a deliberate shift from chasing the attacker to driving into the flight path of the ball. Here is how to coach it.
