Overview: Attackers are encouraged to have a strong drive out to the cones and back into the middle, driving onto the ball is crucial with the feeders delivering the ball slightly in front of the attackers.

Intercept and Recover

Skills Focus: Intercepting, Defensive Position

Overview: The feeder does a chest pass to the attacker which the defender will attempt to intercept. The feeder runs into the centre third and the defender passes to the feeder.

Key Improvement: To help defensive players read the game.

Passing and Cutting Through The Court

Skills Focus: Awareness, Passing, Timing, Teamwork

Overview: Partners drive out together. One to receive a pass from feeder in opposite line and one to anticipate defending the oncoming attacker from diagonal side.

Key Improvement: Learn attacking movement patterns to move the ball through the court.

Body Angles - 5 Points

Skills Focus: Receiving, Catching, Agility

Overview: When making a run to receive, players should never turn their backs on the ball but to have one shoulder angling towards where they are driving and are looking to receive the ball.

Key Improvement: Protect the ball when receiving a pass.

Skills Focus: Ball Control, Reactions

Overview: Both players will pass their ball at the wall at the same time. They will then catch their partners ball, so the balls have switched.

Key Improvement: Improve attackers ability to power away from defenders.

Skills Focus: Power, Decision Making, Movement

Overview: Players need to drive hard and fast once they hit the middle cone. The feeder should deliver the ball in front of the attacking player so they can run on to it.
