Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
Anyone have a for they use to keep track of match data like lineouts/scrum won/lost? We have our first match and I want to be able to keep some statistical data to use for post gae analysis.
I would like to gather some simple stats during games to give focus to training after, does anyone know of a computer packege,preferably free, that can do this

Is sealing the ball at the tackle and ruck legal again?
If you have 30 min before the start of a match how should you prepare a team of under 10 players. How do you get them suitably motivated to hit the ground runnung with a high level of intensity.
At a recent u12's match, the home ref, who is also a L2 coach penalized the hooker for foul play. At the end of the match at the debrief, the ref said to the hooker in front of his peers that he would have sent him off if there had been any subs. Is this against the guidelines of the child protection and did he dip out of his duties as a ref. What are your thoughts? Gary SWales

My young intermediate squad has some tough forthcoming league fixtures against sides they we are unlikely to beat. I expect I will focus the team talk on processes rather than outcome.Is there any merit in explaining that winning is unlikely and that we should look at other successes such as tackles made, limiting the number of tries etc?
I have a new team of high school girls who exceeded expectations but have lost their confidence after a weekend of loses at a 7's tournament. How do I rebuild their morale so they can get back on track?

At this age they do no have rugby knowledge and spacial awareness that becomes inherent at older age groups. Because of this I am finding it hard to get the maximum out of practice sessions because most of the time you are trying to educate the players as to where to stand and correct techniques etc Which interrupt game play and practice? Any advice ?
what to do?when on the field players struggle to make tackles, but when we use the junior bag they go in hard and tackle like animals.any drills to help us please?my group is under 9s

I'm looking for a pre printed match day organizer for my clipboard. Starting lineup and subs, keeping score, strategy, etc.
I would just like to enquire about something with regards to contact. My u/14 team is playing their first match in 4 weeks time. I was told not to start with contact as it may cause some injuries. I was told to wait at till 2 weeks left before I start with contact sessions. However I don't feel that 4 weeks needless to say 2 weeks, is enough time to prepare my players for the physical demands of a game. Now my question is: How long before the first match should I start contact sessions?

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
I can't get enough of the Sportplan, It has given me back the enthusiasm i was starting to lose. My girls are so keen and are ready at 14 to take the next up in their game. Sportplan will help no end.
