Being able to dominate the contact area is key to creating a winning formula. It is vital that all your players understand and are confident in performing safe and effective contact techniques, skills and habits.
This session therefore aims to develop positive and correct contact habits through repetitive practice of tackling and rucking techniques to produce players who are competent in contact situations.
What's in the Session?
We start by bringing it back to basics by focussing on light tackle and ruck technique to warm up players for the session before lifting the intensity up a notch.
This session focuses on driving good habits in contact. Hitting low as the tackler to chop the opponent, positive leg drive as the clear out player, bounce out in attack to find the edge and make it easier for the support player to clear, quick ball presentation and more. All to instill confidence in your players going into the matches ahead.
Suitable for players of all abilities.
