I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Looking for drills to develop 'aggression' in players when there is a loose ball - ie. to 'want/own' that ball.
Hi I am a student teacher, I am currently doing my placement in a class of 7 and 8 year old. They need to work on defending while the opposite team is trying to shoot. They need to work on keeping their distance in particular. Does anyone have any ideas of activities I can do with my class to help them improve on this skill?
Playing ball off post from back line pass
I have found that my players worked well as a group and also really enjoyed a Quiz about Netball (both rules and history of netball in general)but I have run out of questions, I usually only finish our training sessions with one question for each member of our team and use any the following week that they got wrong so they are learning at the same time. If you have any ideas please let me know as I have searched the web and every other resource I can find, Some of the questions I have used are How many seconds can you hold the ball? How far away do you need to be before arms go up to defend? How is a short pass measured? Where does a ball need to be touched first after a centre pass? Name 2 examples of Good spartsmanship? Name the 7 Positions in a Netball Game How many players on a Netball court during a Game? (trick question, usually andswered with 7, keeps them on their toes) In which Country did netball begin? What is the Name of the Australian Netball Team? What time do we turn up for a Game on Saturdays? If you land on 2 feet while catching the ball, which foot can you pivot on? PLease help, I need more questions, we still have a long year ahead %3A) Thanks
I am an umpire as well as a player, and I had a situation a few weeks ago that challenged my knowledge. On a centre pass. Referring to the third lines. Do the third lines form part of the centre court or are they part of the goal third. In other words at what point would GA,GD,WA and WD become off side? If their foot/feet were on the line? Same for the Centre, would she be off side if her foot/feet were on the line?
Hello, I'm just trying to do a lesson plan for twenty minutes for netball for 8/9 year olds with very basic skills and not much history in playing netball. Im not really sure what route to take to ensure they can do the task but still fun, and which element of netball would be best to start with? any suggestions much appreciated!!

Looking for a simple drill to teach Under 9's defensive play without contact
Good day. I would like some clarity regarding transverse lines. Are players allowed or how far are players allowed to step on or stand on transverse lines during play or at goal circles and at centre passes. Please some controversy regarding this rule.
I coach a high level u7-8s team, overall they are well rounded players who get the idea of a drill very quickly so I'm not scared to try harder drills. But I'm stuck in getting them to get back their 3ft to be able defend without getting pulled up. I've tried putting dots on the ground away from transverse lines and getting them to jump back. Any other ideas??
I am finding the girls are lost on court. Some moving more around court to compensate for others. Should I teach them lines?
I would like clarification regarding a rule and I can't seem to find it when going through the rule book.A pass is thrown within the field of play to another player, this player lands with one foot in the court, whilst the second landing foot lands on the sideline of the court. Is play deemed to continue, or is it deemed that the ball has gone out of play as the player has stepped in possession of the ball out of bounds.
Hi,I am finding it really difficult to get one of my shooters out the habit of trying to shoot every shot from the outer edge of the circle with not a very good success rate. She doesn't seem to see or want to understand that a pass would be more beneficial, has anyone had similar issues or have any suggestions to get rid of this attitude and mindset. Thanks In advance Asked using Sportplan Mobile App

What skills are being utilsied in this session?
There are options to draw lines for the player icons which make them move. But there doesn't seem any way to animate the football?

We have had a difference in answer from umpires in our league...can any one shed any light on the offside rule?? Thanks
Need some help on a dispute on a decision I made during a match I was umpiring recently.A player was tying her shoe laces in my half of the court. A goal had been scored in the half I was umpiring. Centre stepped in the centre circle whilst this player was still attending to her shoe lace. So in affect she had not got herself on side and then gone off side she just did not get on side.I blew the whistle to start play as the centre was ready. As the player who was in my half and was off side, I blew for offside. Can I have clarification on this please, was I correct, or should the other umpire have called this offside even though the player was in my half?Secondly, a reputable umpire told me a couple of months ago, that the umpire blowing the whistle to start the game at a centre pass, controls both sides for off side? I.e. All players that go offside at the centre pass, to the left and right of the centre circle. I was not suite about this so need clarification on that too. Thanks in anticipation.
