drills for turning fully
Hi,
Here are some drills from the drill library that focus on turning fully:
Rotating and Turning Pass
Description: Players line up in 2 lines facing each other. Blue player 1 throws to Blue player 3 who runs forwards to meet the pass. Blue player 3 turns and passes to Blue player 4, and then runs on to join the line behind Blue player 2. Blue player 4 then throws to Blue player 1 who runs forwards to meet the pass, turns, and passes to Blue player 2. Drill continues.
Coaching Points: Encourage players to drive out to meet the ball with hands out in front ready and signalling for the ball. Emphasise turning in the air for a quicker direction change rather than pivoting.

Catch Turn Catch
Description: Players work in pairs. The first player runs towards the center, receives a high ball, catches it, and turns in the air to face the opposite direction before passing the ball back.
Coaching Points: Focus on turning in the air to face the new direction quickly and smoothly.

lTurn and Pass
Description: Players work with one ball in pairs inside a square area. The player without the ball sprints across the box to receive the ball on the other side, turns as they receive the pass, and then passes the ball back.
Coaching Points: Ensure strong, quick, and accurate passes slightly in front of the partner to allow for a smooth turn and pass.
