4 players line up, each standing on a corner of the square with one player stood between two cones with the ball.
The drill starts when the player with the ball passes the ball diagonally, anti-clockwise, with a chest/ shoulder pass to the next player who is running forward to receive the pass. After they have passed the ball the players should stand on the next cone.
This player then passes diagonally to the next player before running to the next cone.
Make sure you work in both directions so that players are receiving on the left and the right.

Most club teams defend one-on-one and nothing else. A well-drilled zone gives you a second option, and against the right opponent it is the difference between chasing and controlling.
The backline pass is the most under-coached restart in netball. Get it right and you turn a dead ball into an attacking weapon before the opposition has reset.
July is the month that decides your season. Netball is not a steady jog - it is a string of short, sharp, repeated sprints with barely any recovery. Here is how to build a pre-season engine that still has legs in the final quarter.
