Does anyone have a drill to encourage under 11's to come forward for a pass rather than asking for the overhead pass all the time as they are 'running away' from the ball in their haste to get to the circle?

How do I teach a zone defense in our attacking third?
If my C and GD block the GA so that she can't get into her attacking third is that okay. They are basically facing them and getting in their way so that it makes it hard for the GA to get free? Also, if the GA then runs into one of my defenders and the ball is just about to be shot by their GS do I pull it up as a free pass in the centre third or do I presume that it does not affect the movement of the ball and let the GS continue with their shot?

In a netball game, can you pass the netball backwards?
I'm coaching a team of under 9's and 10year old team of ten platers. These girls are all at different levels I have a two players who played for the first time and two players who have come from junior courts, playing up into the main courts. My biggest struggle is out attacking area it is very weak and we can't get the ball from center pass into the third quarter we lose it with a turn over. When our defense gets the ball back we struggle to get it pass the center circle. I need help, suggestions and drills to help my girls to develop in the area by getting the ball down into our area.

Hi I am a first year coach of a 9 and under team.My girls are struggling with the concept of running to space and receiving a pass on the move while advancing the ball to our attacking third.It seems no matter how hard i try to implement drills for passing at practice, come game day the girls still group together and call for the ball standing still. Help, dad thrown in the deep end - what basic attacking strategies do you use for 11 years olds? They have great skill and have played since they were 5 years old, but still run around like headless chickens, everyone calling for the ball and getting in each other's way. Is there a method to this madness I can teach? Some teams look like they know who is going to pass to who and the ball gets from one end to the other fluidly. I am an umpire as well as a player, and I had a situation a few weeks ago that challenged my knowledge. On a centre pass. Referring to the third lines. Do the third lines form part of the centre court or are they part of the goal third. In other words at what point would GA,GD,WA and WD become off side? If their foot/feet were on the line? Same for the Centre, would she be off side if her foot/feet were on the line?

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
