Where can they go?
They are allowed to move in the centre and attacking third including the circle.
What do they do?
They mark the opposition's goal defence.
They have to be good passers and long range shooters.
Their role is to work with the WA to get the first centre pass, if not then assist in feeding the ball to the Goal shooter so they can shoot from close range as well as taking shots from long range.
If not taking the shot, get into a good position to win the rebound if the GS misses.

Most club teams defend one-on-one and nothing else. A well-drilled zone gives you a second option, and against the right opponent it is the difference between chasing and controlling.
The backline pass is the most under-coached restart in netball. Get it right and you turn a dead ball into an attacking weapon before the opposition has reset.
July is the month that decides your season. Netball is not a steady jog - it is a string of short, sharp, repeated sprints with barely any recovery. Here is how to build a pre-season engine that still has legs in the final quarter.
