Hi Hazel,

I am pleased to hear you have been using Sportplan for so long. We work very hard behind the scenes to continue creating new, exciting content for all of our teachers and coaches. The drills and sessions will vary in difficulty to cater for the wide variety of our users. Keep your eyes peeled as we are regularly posting new drills and session plans.

As an example, I have attached a drill that will be live shortly. This drill will be considered more advanced as it requires the players to have good game sense and awareness of other players. The drill will help improve your team`s attacking capability within the goal third, opening up space to make it easier to feed your shooters.

Hope this helps.

Multi-Square Drill

DESCRIPTION
Split one third into 6 boxes using cones - you will only use 5 for the drill (numbered on the diagram) Using a minimum of 6 players, 2 players will be feeders and will be positioned behind the third line The other players will split into 2 attackers and 2 defenders The aim of the practice is for the attackers to get the ball in all 5 boxes They can go back to the feeders or can complete more passes in order to get the ball in each box The practice is continous - the attackers will stay in until they have successfully completed their 5 boxes, likewise the defence will stay in until they make a tip, interception or force a mistake
