I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
How do I motivate my u/9 girls to continue practicing and playing netball? They are playing for a 2nd season and have not won a game yet. They only starting playing netball last year for the 1st time.
I am a PE teacher looking for beginner drills to teach about 100 students at a time. I am thinking of running a circuit type session with anywhere from 4 - 8 groups. I am looking for simple drills that I can do with limited resources, so the students are able to grasp the basics to be able to play some games at the end of the unit of work.
skills for beginners to learn
I have just started coaching again after 3 years as the town I have moved depends on volunteers and thought it would be a great way to get back into netball. I am coaching a 13/14 year old team with some newbies. I am looking for some good basic drills or exercises to help get us started.
This year I was given the u/10 and u/11 netball girls to coach but none of them has ever played netball where do I start
I have a u/14 team with no netbal experience. I myself have never played netbal before. How do I start and what is the most important rules and patterns they need to know?
Help, dad thrown in the deep end - what basic attacking strategies do you use for 11 years olds? They have great skill and have played since they were 5 years old, but still run around like headless chickens, everyone calling for the ball and getting in each other's way. Is there a method to this madness I can teach? Some teams look like they know who is going to pass to who and the ball gets from one end to the other fluidly. hi all, i coach 11 and 12 years olds, what are some good drills to get the C, GA and GS to not crowd each other and for the shooters to know who it front and who is back.
I am just about to start coaching a team of 7-8yr old kids in netball. None of them have played before and I want to make it as fun as possible for them. What are some games/drills can i play with them that arent too complicated but help them learn the game of netball and develop their skills?
I am coaching a team of 8-9yr olds one of which is deaf. I am having problems getting anything to help me with this. Also I am wanting to print off some simple warmup drills eg basic run to first third walk back knees up walk back etc but have picturs for her aswell, but the session planner is more advance than this- I am wanting to do the same warm up for the start of each training and game. Any help ould be fantastic!!!
I am new to coaching this year and have a couple of girls who struggle to catch the ball despite 3 yrs of playing. One is quite scared and the other does not have good gross motor skills. Any suggestions on drills or games to improve these?
What should I do on a first coaching session ? I don't want the girls to get bored, i want them to want to come back next week.
I have a new netball team, they range from girls or have never played to ones whom played last year. They are from year 3 to 5. How do you coach such a mixed team easily?
i need to know some techniques when marking a player in netball.
i'm doing netball coaching as one of my practicals for GCSE PE and ive set myself a few goals such as to improve my confidence to ensure girls enjoy my sessions but what else could I put?
I'm coaching u/10's and have an excellent A team, but the B team have learners who haven't been playing netball so long. Does anyone have one or two basic activities, easy to understand (for them) which I can drill them with for passing, defending and getting free, as well as something for the shooters. They are always all over the place (we do practice channels) and really struggle to get free - they run a bit and then just stop to wait for the ball. Anything, even just some advice would be appreciated! :)
