Hello all! My kids aged 9 and 7 are very slow when compared to their peers of the same age. They don't seem to fight for the ball and get and watch others play their game. They seem to lack the urgency (heart) needed for the game. (They LOVE football). How can make them move around and react faster. Any help you are able to provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks O

I run a 2004 team (under 10s) and have been told by our league to play at under 13 come August 2015. I don't have enough 2004 to make an 11 a side so will have to use some of my 2005s. I don't want to discourage, or knock the confidence of our younger players. How do I prepare my youngsters to play at this level?
I need some drills to show my team how t keep their head up when dribbling with the ball without the drill being boring for them because when I try the traffic lights drill or something like that they switch off really quickly but I'm also trying to teach them that when someone passes the ball to them they always look what's around them before they get the ball and I want to know if their is any drills I can use

are there any drills for faster reaction time? Our centre half is very fast but we need him to react quicker to situations, are there any drills to help us achieve this. I have a couple of ideas but would appreciate a little help!! thanks.
I've got a team of young women (12-13 year old) several of whom only played last season for the first time. Our first season last year was pretty good given they're young inexperienced and we rarely had subs. One area that always gets us is fast strikers getting in and behind our defense from quite a way up the fieldâ75% of our goals are conceded that way.So any thoughts on training the team to not allow so many of these goals? TIA!

Best way to improve junior team in possession of the ball? To dictate the speed of the game
My Under 9 team keeps starting games slowly. Normally by half time they are just getting switched on and playing like they can. What's a good pre-match warm up to get them switched on and ready to go right from kick off?
Hello All,I will be coaching my daughter's U16 Div 2 team this year, I just wanted to ask fellow coaches and mangers what to expect. I'm not new to the game, in fact I currently play in the state league myself, but there is a difference between playing the game and actually managing the team. I guess my questions lie around team management techniques and what should I look out for or what should I be aware of? The season starts in a month and training commences next week, so what is the best way to get the kids in shape fast? Thank you.
where on the field can I play a slow player
How can we defend the through ball from a faster team?
in more ways than one
Possession without purpose is pointless. These drills combine ball retention with physical conditioning to create teams that dominate and outlast opponents.
Teams have just 6 seconds to exploit a turnover before defences reorganise. Learn how to train your players to attack with speed and purpose.
The U10 age group is the golden window for developing ball mastery. Miss it, and you're playing catch-up forever. Here's how to get it right.
