Need a Pre Season program for 7 sessions and ideas for Open Age team of good ability?
This is my first season coaching u12's - I have a lot of experience with coaching younger children in which I concentrated on skills, ball work etc (90%). Just wondering does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on how much fitness work is req'd for 11 and 12 year olds.
I am taking over a team next season who will be under 10's and I am wanting to bring in a few new players but don't know what will be the best way to trail them and how long I would trail them for. There are many tournaments pre season would that be a good idea. Also what is the best approach with the lads who are not good enough, how do you break it to them
Hi I'm beginning Pre-season training with my squad and am wondering what is the best sequence to do when using fitness/agility /SAQ ie.; heavy work first or last and light work when in my session which will last 45 mins? Thanks peter ps this will be followed by another 45 mins of drills and warm down small game
Hello All,I will be coaching my daughter's U16 Div 2 team this year, I just wanted to ask fellow coaches and mangers what to expect. I'm not new to the game, in fact I currently play in the state league myself, but there is a difference between playing the game and actually managing the team. I guess my questions lie around team management techniques and what should I look out for or what should I be aware of? The season starts in a month and training commences next week, so what is the best way to get the kids in shape fast? Thank you.

Does anyone have pre-season sessions for u17 wpl girls ?
Hi. I coach a boys U9 team, very mixed ability. Weâve been together a year and had a few wins, a few draws and mostly losses last year. Constantly emphasising the results donât matter - itâs all about enjoyment, learning the game etc. The boysâ effort and resilience is amazing but, in moving to 7 v 7, weâve been walloped in pre-season friendlies and progress from last year seems to have gone awol. The main problem is keeping our shape (broadly 2-3-1) so I wondered if anyone had any tips/ideas on how to encourage the boys to keep their shape. Thanks a million in advance for any suggestions! Hi all. I have been an occasional helper on a girls U11 team but from next season onwards I will be taking more of a lead. I want to get the one hough a week coaching sessions to be more organised to provide benefit but also fun and also start to set-up a more regular pre-match warm-up and training drills. Would anyone have some plans that they may be able to share or some pointers on bext places to start. Many thanks.
How does this help with training?
What is the best warm up routine for U9 boys before a game? Thanks Coach Heath

âHi, looking for a drill for my team to close down the opposition especially from the midfieeld but can't seem to find one. Could you please help?
My Under 9 team keeps starting games slowly. Normally by half time they are just getting switched on and playing like they can. What's a good pre-match warm up to get them switched on and ready to go right from kick off?
