With the new 22m ruling in the ELV's the ball cannot be carried or passed into the 22 and kicked directly into touch. Does this rule apply if a ball carrier is tackled and forced into their 22 or if the ball is carried into the 22 and then the ball carrier is tackled inside their 22? In either of these situations is the team in possession allowed to kick directly to touch without a lineout being awarded to the opposition from the position where the ball was kicked?

Does anyone have good drills for the ruck and how not to over commit players to it, Which players do you want in the ruck when playing crash ball.
If one were to really flood the back line by bringing in the weak side wing AND fullback (off a scrum), who would you recommend using to cover for kicks on turnover ball? I'm thinking the blind side flanker could loop around to do it, but then you lose his services at the breakdown. Thoughts?

What is the rule in Mini Festivals or games for U7s carrying the ball in one hand. Should they be penalised?
In relation U9's, I've read about the two hands on the ball ruling in U7 tag, Is there a similar requirement in U9's to have both hands on the ball when running etc (this was flagged up by a learned touchline parent?). Can anyone close the loop on this one for me?

Hi folks, I have been coaching children from 7 to 16 years for along time. I now have a new challenge. We are opening rugby up for children from 2 years to 7 years. We will also be holding classes for children with special needs and would appreciate any tips or dialogue with coaches who have any experience. Several of my players are taking the ball a yard too far into contact and losing possession as a result.Do you have any suggestions or drills that would help to address this? Dave Knights. Hong Kong

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
I can't get enough of the Sportplan, It has given me back the enthusiasm i was starting to lose. My girls are so keen and are ready at 14 to take the next up in their game. Sportplan will help no end.
