What is the best way for a Goal Keeper to defend, especially within the semi circle. ? Should they watch the ball then try to intercept any ball going to Goal Shooter or just mark up their partner?Submitted via email
I'm a GS playing indoor netball (ie with astroturf and nets around the court). I'm planning on trying out for superleague and state next year, and I want to get some good training in. My local centre have said I can practice there any time I want. I can practice shooting by myself, but the areas I feel I need to work on are catching quick passes, catching angled/spinning passes off the net and breaking free of different style defenders. Any ideas on how I can work on these skills by myself?

The shooter unfortunately does not have much of a gap to shot the ball.Also how do you deal with a defender who constant,y marks you facing you with practically a 1 inch gap between you and her? What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
