Netball: how to pass

How do you get the shooters to passI have a 9 year old team and the shooter will not pass the ball and thinks that scoring the goals is important instead of playing as a team and getting closer to circle.

Does anyone have a drill to encourage under 11's to come forward for a pass rather than asking for the overhead pass all the time as they are 'running away' from the ball in their haste to get to the circle?

Does anyone know of a good drill to teach stepping around when passing the ball? I have quite a short player in my team who has trouble getting the ball round her opponents hands. We've been working on faking the pass as an alternative solution.

I have found that my players worked well as a group and also really enjoyed a Quiz about Netball (both rules and history of netball in general)but I have run out of questions, I usually only finish our training sessions with one question for each member of our team and use any the following week that they got wrong so they are learning at the same time. If you have any ideas please let me know as I have searched the web and every other resource I can find, Some of the questions I have used are How many seconds can you hold the ball? How far away do you need to be before arms go up to defend? How is a short pass measured? Where does a ball need to be touched first after a centre pass? Name 2 examples of Good spartsmanship? Name the 7 Positions in a Netball Game How many players on a Netball court during a Game? (trick question, usually andswered with 7, keeps them on their toes) In which Country did netball begin? What is the Name of the Australian Netball Team? What time do we turn up for a Game on Saturdays? If you land on 2 feet while catching the ball, which foot can you pivot on? Quick feeding into circle

I coach a team of U15 girls who vary in their ability. Our play from the baseline throw in is disjointed and the ball is often intercepted as a result. What is the best way to teach the girls to read each others play and operate as a smooth unit?

Would like some advice as to how to coach defenders to defend a shooter who holds to protect space?  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I need shooting drills for around the circle to help my team on weekends. I don't want drills that have nothing to do with moving the ball around the circle and shooting. I want shooting set ups for game day please.

Lately my players have been passing to the other team. Their timing is off and their play is way to fast down court.

Hi I am a first year coach of a 9 and under team.My girls are struggling with the concept of running to space and receiving a pass on the move while advancing the ball to our attacking third.It seems no matter how hard i try to implement drills for passing at practice, come game day the girls still group together and call for the ball standing still. Any ideas/drills anyone could suggest would be greatly appreciated. Regards Mark

I am an umpire as well as a player, and I had a situation a few weeks ago that challenged my knowledge. On a centre pass. Referring to the third lines. Do the third lines form part of the centre court or are they part of the goal third. In other words at what point would GA,GD,WA and WD become off side? If their foot/feet were on the line? Same for the Centre, would she be off side if her foot/feet were on the line?

I'm coaching u/10's and have an excellent A team, but the B team have learners who haven't been playing netball so long. Does anyone have one or two basic activities, easy to understand (for them) which I can drill them with for passing, defending and getting free, as well as something for the shooters. They are always all over the place (we do practice channels) and really struggle to get free - they run a bit and then just stop to wait for the ball. Anything, even just some advice would be appreciated! :)
