Four Corners Warm ups - Netbal...

5 vs 5 or 7 vs 7 depending on numbersSet up 4 boxes as shown in the diagram, ~3m x 3m each.The Attackers start with the ball in one of the boxes. Their aim is to get to the opposite box using passing. They are allowed into the other boxes but will only score if they get the ball to the opposite box.If the Defenders successfully intercept they can start in a box and do the same thing.

Super Star Passing - Netball D...

Split players into pairs with 1 ball between them and set up as diagram (half a third each if available).Black C is the feeder and has the ball. The white C is the worker and will be working for 2 minutes and will then swap roles with the black C.The worker starts in the corner - side steps the horizontal lines then changes pace and direction, while sprinting the vertical lines.The worker then heads towards the feeder to receive a pass when the feeder wishes to put the ball in.The worker then sprints back to the corner changes pace and direction back to a side step then repeats around the whole grid creating a star shape.The worker works for 2 minutes trying to complete as many circuits of the star as possible in the 2 minutes.The feeder can only pass the ball to the worker when they are driving forwards to start with.

Create a square, approximately 3m x 3m as shown by the by the blue cones in the diagram.Two feeders will stand either side of the square, with an attacker and defender in the middle.<br><br>The attacker will get free to receive the ball from one feeder (as shown) and then offload to the other feeder.The attacker will then get free again to receive the ball from this feeder and the pass to the opposite feeder - the process repeats.The attacker must alternate feeders each time.The practice is continuous, therefore the attacker will continue to work for a set number of passes or a set time.Ensure all players are rotated to get an opportunity at each role.

Players must run around the outside of their shape, changing direction as quickly as possible. Players must work at full speed (sprint) for 15 seconds, running around the outside of the cones. After this the coach will should &quot;Jog&quot;. For the next 30 seconds players must jog around their shape and then finally the coach shouts &quot;rest&quot;. During rest time players must put their hands on their head (to catch their breath) and can either stand still or walk slowly around their shape.

2 players 1 ball 1 post. The player at the top of the circle starts with the ball and passes it to the other player to receive it back under the post. to take a shot . After the shot the other player moves to the top of the circle to receive the ball and the shooter moves wide out of the circle. The practice then starts again.

4 cones are placed as shown in diagram.<BR>Red player 1 runs to any cone, changes direction and receives ball from White player 1 back in the centre. Defender (Blue player 1) must stay with Red player 1 and go to the same cone before returning to the middle. <BR>Progression - defender starts passive and slowly increases the pressure applied on the attacker<BR>

Set up cones in a bow tie shape, with 2 cones on the third line, one halfway down the end third and 2 at the end of court, as shown in the diagram.Have one player start on the middle cone with the ball, and the other players split at 2 opposite corners, the third line right corner and end line left corner.Passing order:<br>Middle --&gt; Bottom Right,<br>Middle runs to bottom left<br>Bottom right --&gt; bottom left,<br>Bottom right runs to middle<br>Bottom left --&gt; to middle<br>Repeat on other side, with the player in the middle becoming the starter for the opposite side.

In pairs, 1 player - the statue - holds a ball aloft in one hand. Partner runs, leaps and snatches the ball, lands with the correct footwork, Once theabove is achieved with balance, add a turn once the player has landed so player is facing the same way she has come from and returns the ball to partner. Once the ball has been snatched, the statue could sprint to another point to receive the ball before the exercise is repeated.<BR> Progress this practice through all 3 stages until all players are balanced

This drill works best with the full squad (10+ players). One feeder stands at the side of each third of the court (white in the diagram). These players are on the same side as the attacker (red 1 in the diagram). There are 2 defenders in each third (blue in the diagram). Using just half the width of the court, Red 1 has to work their way down the court receiving three passes from the player at the side of the court, in each third.

Divide your players into two equal lines, with one ball with the first player. Two feeders stand in the middle on either side of the two lines. The first player passes to the feeder on their left and then runs out to receive the return pass. They catch the ball and then pass to the next player in the opposite line before joining the back of that line. Drill continues.

WA starts wide drawing the WD with her. GA also starts wide. The GA drives should time their run in court to receive the ball. The WA drives in court to receive the pass from the C who then runs up court to receive the return pass. The C then catches the ball and plays to the GA who has made the run to the other side to lose their marker and then passes to the GS to complete the move. C - WA - C - GA - GS

One player, the feeder, starts on the edge of the circle. The other player, the worker (number 1 in the diagram) runs around one of the cones set out on the edge of the shooting circle, then drives back into the circle to receive the ball before making the shot. Shooter collects the successful shot or rebound, passes back out to the feeder and repeats with an alternative cone.

Split players into 4s inside a coned area. The attackers (white) start with the ball on the outside of the playing area. To begin with White 2 feints a movement one way and then sprints in opposite the direction (to begin with use a passive defender). After white 1 has passed the ball, she then has to do a feint dodge and run in opposite direction to receive the ball. Try to get 3 / 5 passes in a row before possession changes.

This is a split lead drill, run continuously.Set up two lines of players at each end of a third. Play will be started by the coach who will be the first Feeder, stood in the middle. The 2 Attackers from the top of court will run forward and the Feeder will pass to one of them. The other will then run to where the Feeder was stood to receive the next pass.This Attacker then becomes the Feeder for the opposite side, passing the ball before going to join the back of the queue on that side with the other original Attacker. In this way players move from side to side and join the ends of the opposite lines when they have finished passing.

Partners, 1 ball, small space ideally with a line or cones, passing player.1. Partners set up facing eachother. One player to create a movement and the other one follow. 2. Variation: 'Coach calls' GO! Players drive towards the ball to get the ball. The player initiating the movment is the attacker and the mirroring player is the defender.3. Variation: Players work through some mirror work. The coach then drops an 'anywhere' ball for players compete to get.

Working in threes with 1 ball per group. The 1st player has their back to the others throws the ball up and over their head, turns and catches the ball before then passing to the centre player. The centre player receives, rotates and releases (3 Rs) to the next player. The third player then receives the ball and rotates before restarting the drill from the other side.
