I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Hi I am a first year coach of a 9 and under team.My girls are struggling with the concept of running to space and receiving a pass on the move while advancing the ball to our attacking third.It seems no matter how hard i try to implement drills for passing at practice, come game day the girls still group together and call for the ball standing still. Any ideas/drills anyone could suggest would be greatly appreciated. Regards Mark
What key coaching points are there to be remembered in intercepting?
I coach a team of U15 girls who vary in their ability. Our play from the baseline throw in is disjointed and the ball is often intercepted as a result. What is the best way to teach the girls to read each others play and operate as a smooth unit?
How is the best way to defend a GS who is a foot taller than the GK and can hold faily well (and no exageration I have a very short team so putting a different defender wont change much )

What can I do with my under 11âs? Iâve started a after school netball club, any ideas on what I can do? They need to learn how to mark their opponents? Any ideas Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
Hi Everyone I've been playing defence for a long time now, and only last Saturday did I start to play centre. It was during our warm up on that day, (before our game) when my coach told me that I would be playing centre. I agreed to do it, but the problem was that the other team was a really good and very fit team. I struggled a lot durig the game, and i felt like i was dying the whole time! Also because I had never played centre before I didn't know how to feed the ball into the goal circle. I also don't know how to defend on the goal circle. Also what is the centres main job?Thanks so much for all the help! Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
why do you need speed in netball;
Help... I am new to coaching netball albeit have played for years. My experience in playing comes from being an attacker so trying to work with my defence, is proving tricky. The issue I have is that both my GD and GK face mark. I have tried numerous drills in training however as soon as they get in to a match, they revert back to face marking. When the ball is coming down the court, I encourage them to stay on their toes, side marking and moving in front and round the back however when the GA or the GS moves out, the face marking starts. We have had balls bounce of the backs of heads and all sorts. Does anyone have any tips? Di
Hi, i am predominantly a U12yrs coach but i want to transition in to coaching the high school girls. I love all these drills and session plans and have found them very helpful, but i am looking now for information on strategies used in netball eg/strategic positioning of players when changing from attacking to suddenly defending after a turnover, or when should the GA drop back . when to use a zone defence or side-on defence. All these questions that aren't covered by drills. Is there somewhere to get this info or is it just learn as u go. Thank you
