does anyone have a drill to help driving forward then re offering again?
here is one that i learnt while on a development course.
it looks more complex that it is as i have shown both choices.
this manourve has been shown in the defence end using defence players but it can be used anywhere down the court using any combo of players.
ok so here we go....GK has a backline throw in, while WD GD set up one in front of the other a couple of meters off the circle.
the back decides which direction they are going in and secretly tells the other (this is worked out between the two of them before this starts).
In this diagram WD breaks to the Left (black path) while at the same time GD breaks to the right (red path) and then drive to the top of the circle.
GK decides who they are going to pass to depending who they think is the best option.
option 1 WD (BLUE pass) receives the ball and instantly GD (who did not receive the pass) cuts behind the WD (red path) to take the next pass while the GK drives down the center (green path) to re offer. (you can continue this cutting and reoffering between the WD and GD into the center circle if you wish)
option 2 GD (PURPLE pass) receives the ball and instantly WD (who did not receive the pass) cuts behind the GD (black path) to take the next pass while the GK drives down the center (green path) to re offer. (you can continue this cutting and reoffering between the WD and GD into the center circle if you wish)
if you have any questions let me know.
