Players work in groups of 4, with two feeders, two balls and two workers.The workers receive the ball from the feeder opposite them and return the passThey then accelerate quickly to receive from the other feederDrill should be continuous.

A starts with the ballORANGE drives and receives the ball from A (1)RED drives straight to receive the ball from ORANGE (2)Orange does a 'give and go' to receive the ball back from Red, landing circle edge (3)ORANGE then drives high into the third to receive the ball back from RED (4)YELLOW drives out straight to receive the ball from RED (5)RED does a 'give and go' to receive the ball back from YELLOW (6)YELLOW then drives deep to land circle edge and receives the ball back from RED (7)BLUE drives into the circle and receieves the ball from YELLOW (8)The practice is then repeated in the same order.To begin tell each player to go back to their orignal queue - so they are practicing the same movement over and over.

Players stand on a corner of the square to begin with, one player has the ball in hand.The player with the ball passes the ball anti-clockwise to the player on the next cone nearest them<br>They then follow their pass, running all the way out to the cone and backThe next player repeats this (pass, run out touch next cone and run back)Drill should be continuous.This practice is excellent for teaching players to catch on the move, turn and pass.

Divide your group into three equal groups and add two defenders inside the triangle. The three attackers attempt to keep the ball between them, driving after they pass to move and be available for the return pass.Play starts with the ball at the bottom end of the triangle, while the two players at the other end will come forward ready to offer to receive a pass.Once the ball is passed, the player who didn't receive the ball should drive to be in space to receive another pass.Finally the player who started with the ball needs to make a move to receive the pass.Once all three players have received the ball the ball is passes to the next group of players, ready for the drill to start again.This drill is ideal for teaching players to offer a passing option to their team-mates.

One defender to hover just inside the shooting third.Two attacking players, one from each sideline, run to meet in the middle, high five and then run out in a &quot;V&quot; to space.Defender to pick up either of the attackers.Feeder delivers the ball to the free attacker. They are to then pass to the attacker with the defender on them. The attacker needs to work hard to receive this pass on the circle edge. Play the ball back with the defender receiving the next pass and back to feeder.

5+ players, 1 ball, half court space.1. One player sets up near baseline as the feeder with the ball.2. All other players (workers) set up near third line behinf eachother.3. Workers drive forward and receive a pass from the feeder, they pass back, peel to the right and join the back of the line. Progression 1: Players alternate the side they peel out to. Progression 2: Working players peel out as they were but then cut back into the midline to receive another pass. Worker passes back to the feeder.Progression 3: Two workers drive out together. One will get a pass from the feeder. They will then peel out and drive towards the midline to recieve a long pass.Progression 4: As with progression 3 but with one defender in the mix. Progression 5: Backline pass. One worker to fake a drive. Another to pop out to recive a pass from feeder at backline. Another worker to drive foward and recieve pass to the finish with the first fake driver recieving a pass over the halfway line.

Passing, defending, getting fr...

I'm coaching u/10's and have an excellent A team, but the B team have learners who haven't been playing netball so long. Does anyone have one or two basic activities, easy to understand (for them) which I can drill them with for passing, defending and getting free, as well as something for the shooters. They are always all over the place (we do practice channels) and really struggle to get free - they run a bit and then just stop to wait for the ball. Anything, even just some advice would be appreciated! :)

Help! I'm 14 and am umpiring m...

Hello. I am a 14 year old girl. I have never umpired before, and i am expected to umpire this weekend.  I will be starting on 10-12 year olds. As you can see i dont have much experience at umpiring and i am pretty nervous that im going to stuff up or call the wrong award for the infringment that occured. I have read the Netball Australia umpiring book but some of the words are too fomral for my liking, i dont quiet undertsand. ANY TIPS PLEASE?!

One troublesome team member, c...

Help me please, I am coaching 11 yrs and have one member of my team who is making nasty comments towards most of my other team members, before I am forced to raise this issue with her parent (who is never in attendance, only drop off and pick up, and I dont think she would be the easiest parent to deal with either) I am hoping someone can give me some ideas on how to deal with this, should I ask her to sit out or should I try to include her more to force a better relationship, when I have asked her if we can make an effort to play as a team she is clearly telling me, Its not her fault and that she is reacting to others, but i know this is not true, I dont think she will except she is doing anything wrong, if fact she is my biggest trouble maker when it comes to talking, not litening and being disrespectful, to me her team and once even an umpire (at training) HELP PLEASE its upsetting my girls %3A(

What to do when a player can't...

Hi I have a player who has recently taken up another sport and cannot attend training at all but can attend the weekend game. We are half way through the season. I am not sure whether its fair to give this player as much game time as the other girls and just wanted to know what other coaches might do in this situation. Thanks
