Hi, I am coaching a group of 10yr old girls who majority have never played netball before. Am I better to rotate them in positions or let them get use to the ones that I allocate them too.. Also what are some good drills that I can teach them Defence or Attack... I have taught them the basics of passing, shooting but need help on alot of other drills... We only have training once a week in which I find hard because I believe they need more training days and we only have 2 training sessions to go till the season starts. Could you please give me some helpful ideas to help my girls understand netball and how to play netball without me having to put the pressure on them like as if I was coaching under 16s or something...

I'm struggling to remember what her capabilities were at that age and she's looking for some suggestions for drills to start off with until she gets a handle on where they're at. Is anyone currently working with kids around that age/ability bracket? Does anyone know if any of the weekly drills are aimed at beginners/introductory levels? From the ones I'm seen, they're aimed at an intermediate level so I'm assuming some of the games would be OK, but most of the drills would be beyond their capability.Thanks in advance.

My teams is playing opposition this week who has a very good GD who is a master floater. Last time we played them we played into her hands and lost by 2 and I want to have a few tactics for this week.We also had a young player fill-in WA last time which didn't help as she was unfamiliar with our team. I was trying to get the players to look for our GA who was often free but I think she was playing too close to the goal circle which made things a bit crowded. I think also that once my players realised what the GD was doing, they started to hesitate on the pass.Our GS is reasonably tall and has a good hold so if we can get a good high pass into her before the GD can drop back that may help.Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

hi i jut started playing GK for a local netball team and i am struggling abit, im not sure on what i can and cant do, ie jumping and waving my arms etc plz help
Why do interceptions fail, ie. what makes an interception successful and what makes an interception unsuccessful?
We have a few new kids to netball this season and they are developing well but still step continuously. any goods drills or hands on training ideas would be great. thanks

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
