What are good practices to get players to hit a flat ball, instead of bobbling around
Currently coaching years six to eight. 40 young lads - all keen as mustard but with different skill levels and experience. It would seem best to stream. But I am concerned this creates an elite divide...At this age is it enough to power through core skills e.g passing using slaps, pushes and clip hit exercises or should we be - in spite of numbers trying to coach technique one to one... The enthusiasm is great but so many youngsters need a broader brush approach which is concerning me...

I'm doing A Level PE and I need to coach a player on a weakness of theirs and I need a few progressive practices I could use for a Hit other than the basic technique. It needs to eventually lead to them correctly and consistently performing the hit. Thanks
EH have just launched their Golden Thread objectives for the single system (& above) - will some activities be created to reflect these? It is more gameplay & less directive / closed "drills". Cheers Alex.

Hi All. I am coaching a senior ladies side this year and have one player, who is a provincial player, that after practically every second shot at goal she is flat on the turf. She is extremely fast and very accurate with her shots but has more turf roasties than skin on her knees and elbows. Thanks. Bev
