Split your group into 8s (2 balls are needed for this pass and move exercise).
The balls start on opposite corners and are passed clockwise. Each worker, after having passed the ball, swaps places with the player across the square that passed the ball at the same time.
Make sure players know who they are swapping with before you start the practice
Once the practice is established coach can encourage players to push their team mates to meet the ball by passing the ball into the space regardless if the player is there or not.
If the player does meet the ball a new pair can switch in - continue switching players in and out.
Coach to communicate what pass should be used i.e. chest/shoulder/bounce pass.

Most club teams defend one-on-one and nothing else. A well-drilled zone gives you a second option, and against the right opponent it is the difference between chasing and controlling.
The backline pass is the most under-coached restart in netball. Get it right and you turn a dead ball into an attacking weapon before the opposition has reset.
July is the month that decides your season. Netball is not a steady jog - it is a string of short, sharp, repeated sprints with barely any recovery. Here is how to build a pre-season engine that still has legs in the final quarter.
