Description

3 Players; 2 Attack and 1 Defence set up in an area of court relevant to their positions.

The marked attacker passes the ball to the other and then moves into a space and gets free from the defender to receive the ball back.

Coaching points

For the attacker

  • Quick, short steps
  • Fake runs
  • Stepping in front of the defender to cut them off before making a run 

The defender:

  • Should try face marking and putting the attacker on the back to see which is more successful. Defender should try to dictate the attacker by using body positioning.
  • Make the attacker run into their body or change direction, don't just allow themselves to be pushed up.
