Stopping a GA who dominates mid-court and the circle?

We have an amazing team in our grade who is incredibly fast through the court. The GA seems to dominate both mid court and the goal circle. How or what tactics can I teach my defenders (10 year olds) to stop or slow her down?

How do I get one of my players to hold the ball longer?

How do I get one of my players to hold the ball longer? She has awesome speed and stamina on the court but she doesn't slow down to throw the ball. She is an adult. What can I do to help her?

Allow opponent to get 3 feet?

We played last night and at least 4 or 5 times during the match we were blown for contact. This was when a player had received the ball and turned at speed to make a quick pass. But because the opponent was man on, the player with the ball accidentally knocked into her with the ball. Our captain questioned this and was told that the player with the ball had to allow the opponent to get her distance before turning to feed the ball. This was so frustrating as we had to slow our game right down. Is this a new rule because we have never come across this before?

Bad Stepping during a game Under 10's A grade need help

My girls play in A grade for under 10's and they were doing very well until last week where every player was picked up for stepping more than once. They played terribly and obviously lost confidence with their feet so their passes were lobby and they were not thinking about where they were passing. We practice drills at training but I need really good drills help them intuitively feel their grounded foot vs moving foot. Can anyone suggest anything?

Dropped balls u13 girls

Hi everyone, I have a few girls in a pretty strong under 13 team who start dropping balls when the pace gets fast and furious. The main issue seems to be trying to turn and look to where they are going to pass before they've got their hands firmly on the ball. Anyway have worked on drills that slow things down but this seems to go by the wayside as soon as their is another fast and furious game. Anyone got any thoughts? thanks Rebecca

mum gets frustrated with my performance in netball

my coach put my team into a higher division to play in the Twilight competition. I used to play amazing when i played in my own level, but now since i am versing higher teams, my performance is really bad. i keep on getting tired, which then leaves me to not be able to get free, defend, pass or jump to get the rebounds. it is really annoying, because my mum does not seem to understand why i am so bad now, and she yells at me all the time. i tried telling her that she has to be supportive instead of criticising me because she has no idea why i'm playing bad, but she just gets even more mad! we don't have proper training because our coach is too busy, so we have a players mum.Her training is not the same as my coach's.please help, i don't know what to do!

stepping... need help urgently !

I coach 14b's and I have 2 girls that constantly step. 1 has gotten better when I remind her to watch her feet and slow down but the other just cant seem to get it. She learns much slower then the rest and doesn't have the coordination the others do. During the game I could see the others getting frustrated. what drills do you guys recommend ? I have used all that I know...

Help to slow down-Hot Potato!

I organise a ladies netball group of varying abilities but mostly beginners. Despite constantly telling them to slow their play down, they are determined to pass the pall on as soon as its in their hands often resulting in sloppy passing. Any suggestions on how to slow the pace down and hopefully, improve their passing?

Running away from the ball

I have an u14 team who get the ball and move to quickly through the court hence they are always chasing the ball. How can I slow them down so they get more control? I’ve tried bands and getting them to reset so they are ready for the ball coming down the court but to no avail!!! Asked using Sportplan Mobile App

Stop a tall goal shooter | Spo...

We are playing in n a grand final this week and the opposition has a very tall GS and holds very well. I am thinking of getting my defences to double team her but wanting to know best way to teach this & also what's the best way of stopping the GA (just getting WD & c to try & block her getting in the ring) any thoughts on best way to beat a tall shooter. The girls are 13 but played a lot of netball. Thanks

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
