I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Hi, I am considering coaching next season and plan to do course etc however am seeking advice on good books/DVDs or similar to outline player positions, set plays etc?
How to do a roster to rotate 10 netball players
I need some ideas for training nettas. Particulary on the positions on the court.
So i'm coaching a group of year 8 students who have little knowledge about netball and the skill i have to teach is positional play and i have no idea what to do as a practice drill and modified game ?
i'm doing netball coaching as one of my practicals for GCSE PE and ive set myself a few goals such as to improve my confidence to ensure girls enjoy my sessions but what else could I put?
I have 10 players and need to roster them equally, does anyone have a formula
Hi everyone. I am a first time coach and my team knows nothing! where should I start and what drills would you recommend?
What is the best way to teach the positions to 8 year old first time players?
I am having trouble with one of my players who is a very valuable mid court player, yet obseses about wanting to play GS, not only is she the shortest in the team but when she has played GS she struggles to get in front to receive the ball. No matter how much I explain that the mid court is where she needs to be she wont let it up & even has a nasty attitude towards other players. I have very good shooters in the team, how do I explain without upsetting her but in a way that will get through to her that shooting is not for her this season??
I have began coaching Under 9's this season, we have played 3 games and I have kept the girls mostly in the same positions as my plan was to spend a few weeks in an Attacking Position, then a few in a defending position and then say the last 5 games in the area you are best at and enjoy the most. I was planning to change positions for this Saturdays game, but training has been cancelled due to bad weather. My question is, do I change their positions on game day with limited time to do any sort of game plan etc or do I just keep the same as the past 3 games? I know there is no right or wrong however I am interested in your opinions.
HELP! How do I stop my 6yr old girls from bunching on the court? They are like bees to the honey.
I have a particular player who disrupts training constantly, she doesnt concentrate and undermines me often, she chooses which part of training she wants to do and refuses to do the rest, if forced to do it she sulks and puts the whole team into a mood. I need an approach with her that will get her attention at training and her respect.
Hi guys Iâm a Development netball coach. But my daughter is also playing U11âs Development for her association that Iâm involved in also. I donât coach her for several reasons.. My issue is that her development coach has really pigeoned holed her in WA for the best part of the season.. she is a very strong WA but she can play C, WD just as well if not better.. also these girls should be able to play/understand all positions on court due to player rotations in the normal teams. Itâs very hard to watch at times. Iâm not sure how to approach her coach or not. Or how to talk to her about it also without her thinking Iâm been awful. I have thought about speaking to our ADO... help me out Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
Would like visual resource of netball positions and their areas on court
What is the best approach to positions for a team of beginner 8 year olds? Play every position through the season or foxus on 1-2 positions? Asked using Sportplan on Mobile
how to apply progression
We are playing summer comp (13 yr old girls). We have one shooter with a broken finger, and usually one other is injured or sick each week leaving us weekly with 5 players only. Which 2 positions do I not fill? Another coach told me WA and WD but I feel it just gives us both a weak attacking and a week defending team. I'm now thinking of putting the girls in attack only (GS GA WA C) with one girl in defence- GD ( and our centre covering the WD position from the other teams centre pass) This way we increase our chances of scoring from our own centre pass and still have someone defending their GA and WA from their centre pass in the hope of a intercept. Am I crazy??? Asked using Sportplan on Mobile
Only have 6 players which position is best to leave out Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
Just wondering what is the best position to leave vacant if only 6 girls can attend a game. It's u11's with 2 brand new players & we are getting beaten by large margins & it's one of our seasoned players that will be off Asked using Sportplan on Mobile
Where should I position players on the court for a throw-in from the backline?
