Sharon Garner Coach, England

DESCRIPTION

Following on from Defence Circle Switch 1 2 feeders, 2 attackers, 2 defenders Add in a swing! Defenders want to remain ballside (DADA), but look for opportunties for the switch. C and WA can opt at any time to send in a low ball to a player wide on the circle edge, which the back defender could take a realistic pop at intercepting. Or they may choose to feint that pass and go for a high ball to back attacker instead. How quickly can they recognise this opportunity? And does their defending partner recognise this at the same time and simultaneously drop? How can they communicate the decision making with one another?

COACHING POINTS
