DESCRIPTION

Long court transition with minimal centre third ball movement

COACHING POINTS

  • Ball side wing to clear and drive long into centre third
  • Non ball side wing to angle drive into centre channel for depth
  • GD to drive to where non ball side wing cleared space
  • WA/GA (whoever is ball side) to prelim toward side channel and change direction to drive forward through centre channel into centre third
  • Can then go to GA angled toward ball side depth drive OR to GS forward out of circle and GA drive to post
  • Players only enter centre third as necessary
  • Key working points are quick reaction, drive for depth to get into centre third quickly, move through to our attack end with 1-2 passes in centre third.
