I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
I want to know if there is a way to make the girls fight for the ball more and not back away from their opponents. Any suggestions?
How do you advise your team as Coach when they come up against a rough and agressive team? What is the best way to cope with rough play. Thanks
I have a GK who is miles taller than most of her opponents but she never gets intercepts or rebounds as she is just too nice and slow off the mark. How do I make her more hungry for possession and to get her to more agressive but in a good way
I. got a very good under 15 team. We are in a situation where we only practise once then we go and play against other provinces so if anyone can give me any good stragies to use in a game to outplay the other teams I will apreciate it. My team is very fast leaners and they concentrate very good.
Hello can I please gets some ideas for what strategies to tell my 10 year olds to use when their opponent is getting rough or pushy. Especially in and around the circle and at the centre pass
What is the best way for players 11-13 to mitigate the affect of open players using their elbows. It is brought to the umpires attention and they do their best. However, I have in the last few weeks heard 2 different coaches (when I was observing games - hence I could hear the coach) give instructions to her players to "use elbows and intimidate". Seems a growing trend based on what a lot of players are doing on court in a range of teams. Defensively my players are starting to shy away from staying close to their oppn player. When on attack - I tell them to keep moving so the oppn defense can't set up on them and use the elbow. The poor GS particularly is getting really knocked about a lot of time as she is trying to execute a hold sometimes.
...where it will list and describe playing terminology such as shave, tackle-back, steal, forehand.
How can I help players cope with aggressive contest. Are there any drills you use to develop skills and strategies, especially for circle players?
HI,I would like some ideas on how I can get my under 12's representative team hungry for the ball? They need to become more aggressive without being bitchy if you know what I mean. Thanks Leah
Our primary school netball teams work well when we train at home, but when we play matches against other schools, they seem 'too nice' and don't seem to WANT the ball enough to find spaces and play 'aggressively'.Are there any good drills or bits of advice to change this? We want to start winning some games! :-)Thank you
How t o help the girls when coming up against a really aggressive team
my team of 13/14 year olds really struggle to be aggressive and go for the ball and will often just allow the other team to get the ball off them
I play in a back to netball league, the various other teams also agree that one of the umpires is rude and overbearing with a lot of the players. Her decisions are not explained and she doesn't answer any questions we have. We don't feel we learn anything from her. She also shouted a sarcastic comment across the court to me during the match. Is this something we can complain about? We look to her for guidance and encouragement and she just snaps back and is rude. Advice what to do about this situation would be good.
