It's important that every player has the ability to demonstrate a variety of ways to get free from their defender to receive the ball. This makes them less predictable and more successful against their opponents.
That's why this plan encourages your players to mix up the way they lose their defender to receive the pass. Remember Netball is all about outwitting your opposition!
What's in the Session?
In this training we replicate the game as much as possible - putting your players under pressure to get free to receive the ball (i.e. overload the defence in practices). We also arm them with a toolbox of tricks:

Most club teams defend one-on-one and nothing else. A well-drilled zone gives you a second option, and against the right opponent it is the difference between chasing and controlling.
The backline pass is the most under-coached restart in netball. Get it right and you turn a dead ball into an attacking weapon before the opposition has reset.
