DESCRIPTION

  • GD positions as primary target for pass from GK
  • As GD drops to receive the lob from GK, WD cuts in towards the GD but moving down court to offer a short lead in the centre corridor for the next pass
  • C needs to read WD's move & clear to the side WD is vacating to balance up the court before re-offering the next lead to receive the ball from the WD.
  • GS drives out of the circle to receive pass from C
  • GS passes to WA
  • GA times arrival at post to receive ball from WA

COACHING POINTS

  • WD is the 2nd passing option & positioned upon the circle well away from the GD
  • C stands off high & near centre of transverse line as 3rd option
  • WA & GA position in their areas maintaining width & depth down the court
  • Players must stand off from the space in which they wish to receive the ball
