Marking the player: Cover as much of the surrounding area as possible. Make yourself as 'big' as possible by going onto tip-toes and stretching arms out. Watch the players eyes and try to anticipate where they are likely to pass the ball.
Marking the ball: Follow the ball with your hands, make sure not to obstruct the oppositions view.
