Netball: u11

Hi, I'm having trouble finding effective and interesting drills that will suit my team which has some very talented and experienced players as well as some first-time players. I want t keep challenging the more experienced players while still developing the less experienced players.

How do stop my u11's from stepping, we do drills at training but during the game they keep stepping?

What height should the post be for U9 and U11 netball?

I currently coach an u/11 division 3 netball team. I find that possession is frequently lost with held ball calls and passes that do not reach the player that they were intended for. The girls always look to lob the ball to each other which I instruct them not to do and remind them to come forward for a pass however they always stay behind their players and I do not know what to do. I have taught them breaking styles such as pushing off their left foot and running in the opposite direction, but they do not seem to be using this in games. Are there any ideas that I can use to make breaking fun and more memorable so that they are more likely to try it in games?

I have an U/11 GS who is passing out of the circle to C or WA to get into a better position to shoot, but in doing so, puts herself behind her opponent, blocking herself from taking the pass back. Can she pass out, then "reverse" herself back to take the pass so she doesn't end up behind her opponent, or is she likely to be penalized for potentially stepping on her opponent? Any ideas/techniques anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated. I am new to the coaching scene. Thanks

This year I was given the u/10 and u/11 netball girls to coach but none of them has ever played netball where do I start

We are struggling to find an U11 shooter in either team. How can I encourage the players to practice more at home and what is a realistic amount of goals to practice at this age?

How to give fair court time to 9 players?

Hi, I am the coach of an U11's netball team, and I was wondering if anyone had a roster or something to help with rotating a team of 9? I had it all worked out for 8 players but we've just had another girl join. Thanks.

My U11's are playing an agressive team in our Grand Final. They physically hurt my team who come off, upset and even crying during the match. They make use of elbows, stepping on toes, bumping etc. How do I help my team find the confidence in playing such a team??

What is the best way to rotate 11 girls. Has anyone got a spreadsheet?

My associate coach and I disagree on whether U/10s should play different positions or focus/settle on one, maybe two. I don't want to put the girls in a box at such a young age but I also don't want a Jack of all Trades situation. They are still developing so much that I feel I'll be doing them a disservice by just putting them in the same position every week. The assistant coach says if we move them around we're not going to do as well but that is where the participation vs performance comes in for me. Surely at this age development is more important than winning?No coach likes to lose but I don't want to win at the expense of them experiencing different positions. What do you guys suggest? I have 3 beginners all under 11 and need some simple drills to do with them. Any suggestions?

Hi guys I’m a Development netball coach. But my daughter is also playing U11’s Development for her association that I’m involved in also. I don’t coach her for several reasons.. My issue is that her development coach has really pigeoned holed her in WA for the best part of the season.. she is a very strong WA but she can play C, WD just as well if not better.. also these girls should be able to play/understand all positions on court due to player rotations in the normal teams. It’s very hard to watch at times. I’m not sure how to approach her coach or not. Or how to talk to her about it also without her thinking I’m been awful.
