Currently coaching years six to eight. 40 young lads - all keen as mustard but with different skill levels and experience. It would seem best to stream. But I am concerned this creates an elite divide...At this age is it enough to power through core skills e.g passing using slaps, pushes and clip hit exercises or should we be - in spite of numbers trying to coach technique one to one... The enthusiasm is great but so many youngsters need a broader brush approach which is concerning me...
My team's players don't haveãstrong pass. So our pass is hard to arrive for FW. Please tell me way to pass (push, sweep, hit) strong.
how to plan training for high school to achieve the current goal championship ?
Would you say switching it around to a 1-2-3 would make for better attacking formations?
Hi there. I'm looking for fun exciting resources for 7-year olds and below. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, When I add power to my slap hit the ball tends to be hard but quite bouncy. Any ideas on what could be causing this as it stops me using it as a pass. If I "stun" the ball (i.e. use an abbreviated follow through) the ball tends to stay flat but obviously loses a lot of power. Also, if I deliberately choose a contact point much higher up the stick that also seems to keep it flatter but power is also lost here too. Any help appreciated. Mark
