When coaching players the basics of Netball, the shoulder passing is a skill that needs to be mastered fairly quickly. This pass is a key part of any game, to provide variation in your team's game by being able to pass over a big distance.
In this session, we?ll be looking at the key elements to the perfect shoulder pass - accuracy and power. We?ll be doing small drills to get your players used to throwing one-handed, to provide the most accurate pass to their team-mates. It?s also important that your players learn to catch properly, so you can prevent those interceptions and injuries.
Finish off with some fun mini games, to put what they?ve learnt into practice. Making your drills into a race will provide competition for your players - and a lot of laughs!

Most club teams defend one-on-one and nothing else. A well-drilled zone gives you a second option, and against the right opponent it is the difference between chasing and controlling.
The backline pass is the most under-coached restart in netball. Get it right and you turn a dead ball into an attacking weapon before the opposition has reset.
