Improve defence throughout your entire team, working on channelling, shadowing and intercepting high balls.
Defending shouldn't be the sole responsibility of players inside the defensive third - the instant your team loses possession of the ball it should be all hands on deck as your team works as a unit to regain possession.
What's in the Session?
To improve your players' spatial awareness, in turn increasing the number of passing errors from the opposition, we start with an explosive running and catching drill. After your players have practised intercepting the high balls we then play two fun conditioned games - putting what they've learnt in this session into practice!

Most club teams defend one-on-one and nothing else. A well-drilled zone gives you a second option, and against the right opponent it is the difference between chasing and controlling.
The backline pass is the most under-coached restart in netball. Get it right and you turn a dead ball into an attacking weapon before the opposition has reset.
July is the month that decides your season. Netball is not a steady jog - it is a string of short, sharp, repeated sprints with barely any recovery. Here is how to build a pre-season engine that still has legs in the final quarter.
