It is important to know where your opposition is at all times and to develop the skill of dictation to ensure your players are in control.
What?s in the Session?
The session begins with a fun warm up to get your players feet moving and become aware of their opponent. This will help your players be able to track their player and go for an interception. The session progresses to develop your defender's ability to dictate, so they are in control and dominant over the attacker. In turn, this will help your players work within a unit to force their opponent out of play or obtain an interception. ?Reward the Defence? provides your players with a great opportunity to demonstrate what they have learnt and work as a unit to secure possession. The session concludes with a modified game of netball, with certain conditions placed upon the game to get your players demonstrating what they have learnt.
This session helps your players develop their defensive skills in order to apply maximum pressure and increase your team?s chance of turning over the ball.
