Netball: Overlap to gain Territory

4 players, 3 balls. 1 player without the ball receives the ball from one of the players and returns it as quickly as possible. Then the second player throws their ball and the player in the middle has to return the ball etc. (chest, shoulder, bounce, overhead passes alternated.)Vary the length of the pass.

Good fundamental skills in partners. Any number of player can take part, one ball between 2 and wall space. You can get creative with rotational ideas but here are some: 1. Right hand wall taps. 2. Left hand wall taps 3. Overhead with two hands 4. Chest passes 5. Figure of 8 and 2 passes 6. Around your partner 7. Pass behind your back

Players stand in a line 3 metres away from a wall with one ball per line. Player 1 throws a powerful high pass against the wall, after throwing the ball they move aside and jog to the back of the line, all the time facing forwards. The next player in line catches the ball and the drill continues.

4 players, i ball player with ball passes the ball to the player on the side and runs to receive the ball back to land and step to pass the ball the next player in line.

The red players in the middle are static and receive and wall pass the ball back to the same player each time. Players on the outside receive the ball from the blue player to their left and pivot pass the ball to the red player in the middle. They then move to receive the wall pass back from the player in the centre on the other cone. Once they have received the ball back again the players passes it to the next blue player on the outside, after which they return to their starting cone.

2x groups of 5+ players 1 ball 1/3 space   One team to set up in a circle. Other team to line up one behind eachother. Team in the circle passes ball around eachother while one person from the other team runs around the outside of the circle. Running players run around once or twice. Passing players count how mayn time the balls made a complete circle. Teams swap over and try to beat the opposing team.

Split group into 3 equal teams. Ideally 6 per team. 1 team is the attackers, 1 team are defenders, 1 team is resting off the court. Split court in half. Half of the defence and attack are restricted to defending half of court while the rest of the players are restricted to attacking half of the court. 1 A starts with the ball on the baseline. Attackers have 5 minutes to get the ball to the other end of the court and score as many times as they can. If the ball is tipped, intercepted or dropped the ball is taken back to the start. After 5 minutes, defenders become attackers, attackers come off to rest, resting team become defenders.

Blue Player 1 has the ball and passes it to the centre player who moves to their right to receive the ball, before receiving, rotating and passing the ball to Player 2. Player 2 then passes the ball back to the centre player who has now run to the other side to receive the ball.

Split your group into 8s (2 balls are needed for this pass and move exercise). The balls start on opposite corners and are passed clockwise. Each worker, after having passed the ball, swaps places with the player across the square that passed the ball at the same time.

Split the group into 6s with one ball per group. Red player 1 throws the ball to Blue player 1, and then receives a return pass while moving forward. Red player 1 then throws the ball to Blue player 2, who then passes onto Red player 2. Red player 1 takes place of Blue player 2 and Blue player 2 goes to back of queue. Red player 2 repeats practice in opposite direction. Progression - The posts move to receive the ball each time.
