DESCRIPTION

In groups of 3 with a ball; feeder, attacking plater, defending player. Attacking player changes direction to cut behind the defending player to receive the ball.Start with defender working at lower intensity, until attacking player gains confidence in the movement. Build intensity of the defender. Progression: Working within a defined small space, make it a continuous effort drill, until attacking player has successfully received 6 passes either from a front or back cut, but no overheads. Defending player must stay man on and isn't looking to intercept ball.

COACHING POINTS

Discuss what movement tools players could use to enable this movement For example: change of pace, preliminary movements When progressing, the attacking player will have to use variety to be able to successfully achieve those 6 passes.
