Work ball up and down court, everyone in each third has to touch the ball. Ball in front, reading off each other, looking for space. Strong hard attacking drives. Multiple Drives, Prelim moves 1st variation - within the third add 1 x lose ball. 2nd variation - add a reset, so ball goes back to previous third. Progression Add a floating Defender/Attaker in each goal third (wear a bib). Add extra player into centre third. Keep working up and down then you can finish on a shot.
Above all, itâs important that players perform basic skills well â passing the ball out in front, turning and opening up their hips and shoulders to deliver a pass, and doing strong preliminary movements. Players should remain active and move within their third the entire time, not just when the ball reaches their third. Try to avoid players driving into the same space for the same ball. Look for players to read off each other, clear out if they donât receive a pass, and generally keep the court âbalancedâ. Add dropped balls and reset balls to change the playersâ movement patters. Depending on how many players you have, add one or more defenders in each third to force players to work harder and beat an opponent to receive the ball in space.

No more 50/50 toss-ups. When simultaneous infringements occur, possession now goes to the team that last had the ball. Here's what it means for your coaching.
Train your defenders to win clean turnovers, not just disrupt. The difference between good defenders and great ones is taking the ball, not just touching it.
