In this drill, I want an attacker and a defender to line up on each side of the transverse line. One feeder stands in the goal third in the middle of the circle. Feeder says "go" and both sides drive towards the ball. Encourage the players to dodge and drive and to try and shake their player. Talk about sometimes dropping back to clear an area and creating space. The aim is to get your players coming onto the ball/pass.
this drill encourages the players to give two options to a pass. The aim is to get younger players driving to a pass in an open space. It also helps the players work together. A good point to instruct is for each attacker to watch their other attacker to see what space they are running into.
