Description: students will be in pairs, a “passer” and “worker”. The worker will stand on the centre cone and doing fast feet on the spot, awaiting the call from the passer of “left” or right” running to the outside cones and using hips to change direction and getting the feet under the shoulders to drive back to the centre cone, correctly rather than side stepping etc
2. Partner passing
Description: replacing the fast feet at the centre cone with a pass from the passer. Driving to the outside cone and back to the centre for a strong pass by the passer at the centre cone for the worker. Focussing on using the outside foot to land on/or 2-foot landing. The worker receives the pass and efficiently passes back to the passer and continues to run to the opposite outside cone, returning to the centre to receive another pass. This is also an opportunity for the passer to work on their passing ball pace and accuracy, using a variety of passing options (chest, shoulder or bounce).
KTP: Encouraging the movement of the hips to change direction rather than side stepping.
Landing on the outside foot when receiving. Continue focusing on the change of direction technique, even though the added pass is taking attention away.
