DESCRIPTION

6 cones, W, F & 1 Ball

  • Drive out on the angle, side step across
  • Angle drive up and back
  • Drive fwd, side step across
  • Angle drive up and back  *** Next worker starts
  • Drive fwd to take pass

When roating players W becomes the Feeder, previous Feeder joins the back of the line

COACHING POINTS

– Players should aim to keep their running movements straight and direct between the cones and avoid running a small curve on their changes of direction.
– As your players change direction, ensure they’re turning their hips and knee to face the direction they’re going to run next.
– When sidestepping, look for your players to bend their knees slightly and keep their feet light and quick. It should be a fast foot movement, rather than a long, loping movement.
– Players can either run a number of repetitions (3-6, depending on age and ability) before switching with their throwing partner, or work in groups of three and rotate continuously until each player has completed the set number of repetitions
