This drill has two ways of receiving the centre pass with what is done after. The first solution is for the WA to run out and receive the ball whilst the GA stays on the inside and makes a small dodge run then turning and running out into the space. When the WA has received the ball this is when the GA runs across court to receive the next ball. Therefore by using a 'dummy' dodge the GA can push off into the space losing the defender. If this does not work when the WA runs out for the centre pass then because the GA is already on the inside this means that they will have an advantage to receive the ball in front with the WA then cutting across court instead (like n diagram but the WA to move back rather than the GA). Therefore the attack can then push up and wait to receive the next ball.
