With my two players I made sure that they could get out for centre passes therefore I worked on sprinting out and getting out quickly on a centre pass, followed by cutting back in. Both of the girls had a go at attacking and defending the centre pass and how to be successful when cutting back inside. Firstly i started off with sprinting out towards the ball.
Strengths:
- The girls were able to recieve the ball in front by getting into the space
-The girls reacted quickly from the whistle on the centre pass
-Footwork had seen an improvement as when catching the ball the girls controlled their feet on landing and were able to pivot
-It was easy to communicate and work with the girls on strengths and weknesses and explaining drills, why they are used
Weaknesses:
-Rather than make a sharp defiant move out to the centre passes they slowed down when waiting for the ball which allowed the defender to catch up. Therefore by working on landing after a sprint this will increase the speed of play
-the stace of the players needed to lean more towards the direction of play, it increase the distance over the defender and speed of the sprint
