3 Man Passing Drill 2 Basketballs

The person in the middle will receive the basketball from the player on the side, once the person in the middle has the ball they will throw it straight back to the same person. They will then turn to the other side and repeat this. They will continue to repeat this until they reach the half way line. Once they get to the half way line the players on the side lines will turn and dribble back. Once they get around 20 feet away from the basket, one at a time they will perform a "give and go" or 1-2 pass for a lay-up.

Pass and go! Diagonal running ...

2 players with one ball, 4 cones. Player 1 chest passes to player 2 and then turns and runs diagonally to the first cone, touching it before returning to the starting spot to receives the return pass from player 2. Player 2 does the same as player 1. The second time round players run diagonally to touch the opposite cone.

Three man switch to shoot and ...

Player 1 starts with the ball in the middle of the court and plays the ball to player 2 who cuts in to the first cone. Player 2 must then pass to player 3 who has also made a run inside to the other cone further up the court. Player 1 in the meantime should loop on the outside behind player 2 to receive the ball back from player 3 and take a shot.

Players stand in a circle with one ball per group. The first player with the ball starts off by passing the ball to another player and then follows their own pass.

white1 and white2 will pass ball to each other 3 or 4 times.<br>blue1 and blue2 will adjust accordingly.<br>red1 and red2 are continually getting open.<br>white1 or white2 will pass to either red1 or red2. Now, it becomes a 2 on 2 game.<br>reds vs blues until reds score or blues get the ball.<Br>Rotation = Offence to defence, defence to passers.

Two players with one ball. Player 1 passes to player 2 who goes diagonally to the first cone, touches it and returns to the starting point, before receiving a pass from Player 2. Player 2 does the same as Player 1. They then give another pass and go to the second cone before repeating process.

Players set up a circle with one defender in the middle and one ball per group. The players on the outside of the circle must pass the ball and try to keep it away from the defender. The defender stays in the middle until they steal or deflect the ball. When that happens, the pass who threw the pass will become the next defender.

Need to anticipate where the ball is going to go and the speed of the ball. Stand about 2 meters from the basket. Toss the ball up to the rim simulate a shot. Jump and rebound the ball.

Set the cones up as shown in the diagram.Split the group into equal teams.On the whistle players have to dribble around the outside cones. Once they have completed a circuit they then move into the next (nearer the middle) set of cones.This is repeated until they end up in the middle, at which time they go back to their team for the next person to go.

Pass the basketball off the wall and catch the ball in a quick stop. The coach will either say forward or reverse pivot. The player will pivot round 360 degrees so they are facing the wall again to make the next pass.

The basketballs will be rolled back and forth as quick as the players can go. If one of the players fumbles the ball or does not go quick enough and ends up with 2 basketballs. That player will have to do a push up. After the push up the game will continue.

Players will set out as shown in the animation.The top line will have a basketball. The first player in the line will pass to the person on the right wing.After making the pass the player will run and set a screen for the player on the left wing.The player will curl around off the screen for a short shot. The player who shoots will get the rebound and pass the ball back out to the line at the top. One defending player is trying to catch the player in possession of the ball. Players in possession of the ball can not move. Players without the ball can move though to make themselves available to receive the pass. If a player is caught whilst in possession of the ball they must now become the catcher and the drill starts again.

Player 2 runs cross court in front of player 1 and receives the pass. Player 1 then cuts in court to receive the return pass. After the receiving the ball they then run into the key and then have a shot.

6 Players with 2 balls. The Coach decides whether to start the practice going clockwise or anti-clockwise. If you are one of the two middle people (players 1 & 2) then you change with each other once you have passed a ball. If you are on one of the corners then once you have passed your ball you exchange places with the person on your diagonal, e.g. Player 4 exchanges with player 5.

Set up five cones on the court. The first player then runs up to the obstacle and does either a L-Cut, S-Cut, change of direction with turn before moving on to the next cone. The next player goes when the player has reached the first cone.

Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 and follows their pass. When they are just over half way towards player 2 they then make a sharp change of direction and cut out, running hard towards the cone where they will receive the return pass. After receiving the ball player 1 should try and shoot as quickly as possible from outside the key, before then collecting the ball and playing an outlet pass to player 2 who has moved wide to receive the ball.

Player on the baseline is a cutter and player on the top is a passer. The cutter runs towards the key until one foot is inside the key then they change direction and move towards the ball. When they are free they must signal for the ball with their outside hand. Once they receive the ball they can then square up towards the basket and go for a shot or drive for a lay up.
