Individually, run into a space. On the whistle jump into the air, landing right or left.
Turn on first landing foot, point other foot into new space and run into it.
Same can be done with a ball. On the whistle, throw ball in the air, jump, catch, land and pivot.
3 attacking player are the GA, WA, GS.
Centre passes the ball to GA, GA to WA, and WA to GS.
After every attack start again in the same positions.
Half the group have a ball each, the other half has to stand tactically in between the two lines.
The players with the balls start behind the line and have to try and get across to the other line by using the static players (middle players can pivot on the spot).
1 or 2 catchers have to try and intercept the balls.
Players caught out must either sit out or help catch out the remaining players.

On receiving the ball from the feeder player 1 turns.
Players 2 and 3 should both make strong sideways movements in opposite directions, the defender can go either way.
Player 1 must try and pass to the unmarked player as quickly as possible.
In this exercise you have two feeders and then three attackers against two defenders.
The first feeder (player x) starts the drill with a pass to white player 1.
White player 1 has to pivot and then try and pick out the unmarked player.
The defenders have to pick up one white player each and make the interception if the ball is passed to the player they've picked up.
In a designated area, using lines or cones, the white team must attempt to dodge past each defending player. Defending players can only use sideways movements in order to prevent this.
*AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON* 4 players. 1 feeder starts with the ball approximately on the 3rd line in shooting 3rd. 1 defender stands front on to feeder with 1 attacker screening this defender (see coaching points if unsure on setup). Other attacker to stand on the opposite side to the side being screened. They are to either drive across the pair or cut behind them to receive a pass from the feeder. The screening attacker then rolls off the defender and receives a pass in the space.
WA starts wide drawing the WD with her. GA also starts wide. The GA drives should time their run in court to receive the ball. The WA drives in court to receive the pass from the C who then runs up court to receive the return pass. The C then catches the ball and plays to the GA who has made the run to the other side to lose their marker and then passes to the GS to complete the move. C - WA - C - GA - GS
Set up: 2 post players, 2 balls, 4 cones set up in a square, 1/3 space. Workers line up behind a cone and drive straight out to first cone to recieve a sraight pass from passer. The worker then straight drives across to side cone, recieves a pass from other passer. Drives forward to front cone and receives diagonal pass from the first passer. Worker then drives sideways to the final cone to recieve a pass from the opposite passer. Worker drives midway between the front cones and recieves a pop pass. The worker then returns to the liine they came from and next worker drives out.
Set up: One ball, 5+ players. Set up two lines of players facing each other with one passer in the middle. Ball starts with front player in line. Player delivers a pass to the stationary passer, receives it back in the middle and passes in front to opposing line. Player then joins back of the line. Progression 1: Add in change of movement Keep the same set up. Instead of driving straight through. Players now drive out (away from stationary passer) and then change direction to drive towards passer and receive a straight pass. Ball then gets passed to opposing line, as before and player joins that line. Progression 2: Add light defence Keep set up the same with the change indirection. Add in a defensive player to disrupt the area. Progression 3: Increase defence Add in another defender of get the original defender to become more âactiveâ.
Set up as shown in diagram. Two attackers, one defender. Attackers drive in different directions and the feeder has to pass the ball to the attacker who the defender chooses to mark. Split lead: start staggered, front attacker leads. One attacker should wait for the other to move first and then move into the other space so that both attackers don't end up going the same way. Attackers drive out in separate directions and the defender chooses one to mark Once the first attacker has received the ball, the other attacker then cuts back ready to receive the next pass. If the defender fails at the first intercept they should drop back to the 3ft mark ready to attempt an intercept on the 2nd pass.
Position cones 8-10m apart. A starts at one cone, F stands with the ball at the other cone. 2 defenders stagger themselves between the two cones as shown. A sprints towards the first defender in the attempt to convince the defender she is driving a certain way. A should be driving hard enought that D moves to close her down. As D moves to mark A, A changes direction quickly and drives towards the other D, who moves to shut her down. A should change direction again quickly and drive towards F. F passes the ball to A once she is free. A resets and repeats.

3 players, 1 ball, half court space. 2 feeders set up with one near baseline and one near half way. Worker starts near feeder on baseline. Feeder starts with the ball and gives a short pass. Worker returns pass and drives down the court to receive a long pass. Worker passess the ball to the opposite feeder on half way. Worker runs around feeder. Worker receives a pass on the go and passes back to the original feeder on the baseline to then get a short pop pass to finish.
Set up: 7+ players, one ball, full court. Players set up in loosely positioned areas. Ball starts down one end i.e. with the shooter and players work the ball through the full court.

Set up a big square 9m x 9m, split into four 3m x 3m squares. It can be put into the context of court by positioning it just inside the shooting third. Position 2 attackers and 2 defenders as shown in diagram. A feeder starts outside of the squares with the ball. There is another defender in between the feeder and the square. This drill looks to progress a Centre pass from the 1st phase (receipt of the 1st pass) to the 2nd phase (passing options from the 1st phase). One of the attackers has to receive 1st pass over the front line, as they would in a game situation. The attackers then look to 2nd phase option: the second pass that looks to move the ball into the attacking third.
