Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
With all the protective equipment now on the market, does anyone know what the best Head protector and shoulder protector on the market is. Its for a hard hiiting 16 year old that doesnt hold back which is why im looking for the best. I know that protective gear isnt the be all and end all but it might help him in some situations. Thanks.
I'm 19 years old in Canada and have started a new team. All the students that have signed up are new to the game and are about 14/15.. Any tips on how to introduce rugby to them?
Hi folks, I have been coaching children from 7 to 16 years for along time. I now have a new challenge. We are opening rugby up for children from 2 years to 7 years. We will also be holding classes for children with special needs and would appreciate any tips or dialogue with coaches who have any experience. I look forward to exchanging views and results with any coaches willing to share. We will hold a few test sessions in the near future and will stay in touch. Many thanks. Kieron .Hong Kong. Need help with motivational speaches
There is no doubt that the top players in the world have all been exposed to the top coaching that the world can offer. So why is it that when I watch international matches I am forever seeing players pass the ball behind the shoulder of the receiving player, or stood still waiting to receive a pass, or having to jump up in the air to catch the ball before they can set off on their run ? If the U11's that I coach did those things then I would be 'tutting' into my cocoa, cos mostly they don't ! ..........or am i alone in my analysis?
I need ideas for fun team building activities and any fun games to help towards team building. Has anyone got any ideas on what to do? Anything to spice up rugby training sessions in the dark, cold winter nights.
Under 8's drills%3A how to get players to stay in position (in their channels) defensively to avoid them chasing the ball all over pitch! thanks, David
my club has a problem with the seniors. Numbers at training are low every week, I know there is not a quick solution so how can i create a good culture of training ?
Some of my U9s players, who are experiencing contact for their first season, are showing reticence in tackling - how do you coach or get through the fear factor/element?
At a recent u12's match, the home ref, who is also a L2 coach penalized the hooker for foul play. At the end of the match at the debrief, the ref said to the hooker in front of his peers that he would have sent him off if there had been any subs. Is this against the guidelines of the child protection and did he dip out of his duties as a ref. What are your thoughts? Gary SWales
Have you got any hints and tips that can be passed onto a captain for under 12s? He needs to get past the shouting encouragement part and learn how to lead the team.

How do i copy drills into a folder
I have just started helping our head coach with under12's team. He wants to retire and has put me forward to be head coach next season. I am a little worried on how i should aproach training with the boys, going to a full 15 a side team on a full pitch. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I am researching a new blog entitled "Aspiring to Mediocrity" that looks at the current trend that teaches children that it is OK to just compete and that winning is not important. Without adding any of my own views quite yet, I'd be interested to know what you all, as coaches and people involved in the game, think of this concept.
How can I view multiple sports on the same account? Thanks.
