What is the best way to rotate nine girls age 12
Hi Gail,
Below are some recently answered questions on a similar rotational theme:

The Sportplan Team
there are a number of factors to consider here Gail. are you playing competetive for fun netball? do you have players who can fill the position of the one you are taking off the court? ie do you have more than 2 shooters, or defence players? does everyone try equally hard at training or are there some slackers who either dont turn up, or train well?
i have 9 in my team. they are aged from 13-16. i prefer the fair method during the season, so everyone gets equal court time PROVIDED, they turn up to training, and train hard. those who do those 2 things will get the most court time. we also have enough players who can fill the spots when we take players off the court. so we have spare shooters and defence players.
so basically each week 1 player will get a full game. everyone else will lose a quarter.
last year with my under 12s we had 9 players, but we didnt have any backup shooters, so they rarely came off the court, and the rest of the team rotated. 1 player each week had to sit off half a game. thats life.
hope that helps.
in more ways than one
Split circle defence is the system the top three NSL teams have built their identity around in 2026. The Goal Keeper and Goal Defence divide the circle into zones, switch in synchrony, and make every passing option look risky. Here is how to coach it.
Most netball shooters know how to shoot. The difference at the top is who can shoot when it counts. A structured 10-minute pre-game mental routine is the most under-used performance tool in club netball - and it is the simplest to teach.
The best Goal Defences in the 2026 NSL season are intercepting more than ever. The reason is not raw athleticism. It is a deliberate shift from chasing the attacker to driving into the flight path of the ball. Here is how to coach it.
